Great to meet you!

I have been practicing as an outpatient counselor (LPC) for over 4 years, but I have been in the mental health field for 14 years overall. I have worked with many different populations and these varied experiences have helped me develop a comprehensive approach to counseling. I have an adaptable style in counseling and meet clients where they are. I look forward to helping you identify your goals, work toward them, and live a more fulfilling life.

My approach to therapy

I believe that clients are the experts of their own lives; I encourage them to lead sessions and inform me of their goals and their expectations for counseling. I often utilize existential, narrative, strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and person-centered modalities in my practice. I will actively listen to my clients and tailor treatment to meet their needs.

What you can expect from me

I strive to create a safe environment for clients. The first session or intake is a big step, and I respect clients who decide to meet with me for counseling. I ensure that clients will not feel judged or dismissed; I encourage sharing and welcome conversation (even in the midst of intake questions). I want clients to leave the first session feeling hopeful and optimistic about their mental health journey.
