Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Holli Zandona and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with adolescents and adults for over 15 years. Anxiety, depression and trauma are some of the areas in which I have studied and gained an abundance of hands-on experience with.

People who tend to be a good fit with my approach and knowledge have neurodiverse minds including ADHD, Autism, Gifted and High Intelligence. Complex trauma related to neurodiverse minds including late discovery is also a speciality of mine.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside youth and families with diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds as well as members of the LGBTQ community, all of which have enhanced my level of cultural intelligence.

My approach to therapy

Every individual is unique; therefore, everyone's treatment will also be unique. It is very important to me to witness who you are and the story of how you got here. It is equally important to me to learn how your brain works so that I can effectively adapt my approach specifically in a way that allows you to meet your goals in the way that your mind was designed to work.

I also believe that you are the expert on you and therapy is a collaboration of your knowledge and lived experiences as well as my insights and skills as your therapist. I find I take a holistic approach in regards to taking into account both the body and the mind. I am intuitive and creative and often find myself thinking outside of the box in order to help you meet your goals.

What you can expect from me

You can expect that I will be attentive, understanding and authentic. Allowing time to build trust when working together is crucial and people usually feel pretty comfortable being and sharing vulnerable things with me within the first couple of sessions.

Sessions can look different from client to client and are usually structured in a collaborative manner as well as in combination with intuition and what you need at that time. This allows for flexibility to create a unique experience effective for you.

There may be times where the focus of a session stems from a specific situation that has occurred and there may also be times in which there is a more outlined agenda for that session based on a previously identified need. Sessions with me tend to be balanced in regards to verbally processing, emotional experiencing, exploration of patterns, engagement in regulation activities and even problem solving when needed and appropriate.

Despite the structure and content of our sessions, you can expect that I will be actively engaged in sessions showing up with authenticity, an open mind, compassion and understanding.
