Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as you are, without feeling like you have to have it all figured out. I work with women, teens, and young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, and the many changes that come with growing into yourself and becoming a parent. My approach is warm, person-centered, and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on helping you feel understood, build on your strengths, and find tools that work for your life. Together, we’ll work toward understanding yourself more deeply and creating meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach to therapy

I take a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, meaning our work is guided by your experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted without judgment. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to explore how thoughts influence feelings and behaviors, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to practice emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills, and motivational interviewing to explore your values and work through uncertainty about change. These approaches complement one another by combining self-understanding with practical strategies for navigating everyday challenges. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative, compassionate environment where we explore patterns, build on your strengths, and identify realistic steps toward your goals. I tailor our work to you rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, and we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an individual therapy session focused on getting to know each other and beginning to build a therapeutic relationship. We’ll have a conversational, collaborative discussion about what brings you to therapy, your current experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your background, strengths, and goals, while leaving plenty of room for you to share what feels important. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or share more than you’re comfortable with. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and comfortable taking the next steps together.
