Great to meet you!

If you're here, you're probably looking for a change--whether it's in your relationships, patterns, thoughts, feelings, or something else that's important to you. Life is full of challenges, but I firmly believe that people have fundamental inner-strengths that can help them cope. As a therapist, I warmly accept my clients as they are, and work alongside them to explore who they would like to become.

I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a Supervisor Designation. I am interested in helping individuals enhance their health & wellness, achieve personal goals, manage symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, build self-esteem, and develop the skills needed to navigate life challenges and wellness. Additionally, I have experience working with the U.S. Veteran population, women’s issues, and providing trauma-informed care.

My approach to therapy

I utilize an evidence-based approach to treatment which includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My approach is holistic and person-centered, with emphasis on the relationship between physical, mental and emotional well-being. With all individuals, I prioritize the importance of understanding where each individual is at in his/her own journey and work toward helping each person realize his/her own best self.

What you can expect from me

During the first session I will spend time getting to know you, what is bringing you to therapy, and goals you would like to achieve. I will also discuss the limits and restrictions of my practice so that there are no surprises. This is also an opportunity to make sure I am a good fit for what you are looking for. If you are considering reaching out for help, I'm here when you're ready.
