Great to meet you!

My work with clients tends to feel like walking alongside them and destigmatizing their thoughts, feelings, and reactions with the science behind the experiences they are having. This perspective shift allows them to switch from feeling broken and stuck to resilent and empowered. My degrees are in Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work allowing me a broad perspective of mental health, and I have a background in treatment of trauma, addiction, personality disorders, and mood disorders with people from all backgrounds. I am sex positive and love working with LGBTQ folks and people who live alternative lifestyles.

My approach to therapy

I tend to look at my clients through a holistic lens. Clients and I work together to consider not just how the echos of their past show up in their present, but also what science says is happening in the physical brain and body, how what is happening in their environment plays a part, and how these insights empower them to make meaningful and lasting change for the better. Clients describe me as whole person view and say that I challenge them in a way that feels colaborative and flexible. I incorporate trauma focused CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness and psychoeducation in my practice.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be spent getting to know one another so this feels like a partnership. We will dive into what led you to reach out and what you want to get out of our time together. Then we will develop a plan that feels both doable and worth while to you.
