Great to meet you!

What brings you or your child to therapy may feel overwhelming, heavy, or confusing. I know it can be difficult to reach out for support. When you choose to, I will be here to walk alongside you without judgment. I believe in your capacity to grow and heal. I will be there through the ups and downs, always making sure to celebrate even the the smallest of wins along the way. My ideal client is an individual who is open to committing to meeting consistently so we can establish trust and rapport, creating space for vulnerability and personal growth. I am well-equipped to support children, teens, young adults, and parents.

My approach to therapy

My approach is grounded in client-centered, trauma-informed, strengths-based, and relational care through a systems lens. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can be a powerful catalyst for change. I am non-judgmental and welcome feedback. I provide clear expectations and set the tone from our first session for open communication. I pay attention to patterns and often point out what I've noticed across sessions. I am able to challenge and provide direct feedback, without harsh delivery. I am authentic and transparent in my approach. I take into consideration your history and cultural identities in treatment. I integrate various therapeutic modalities to make sure you get what you need out of our time together. I am creative and utilize play or expressive arts interventions when appropriate. I am a lifelong learner. I am currently finishing my play therapy credential. I am also in the training process for EMDR. I receive formal consultation for Play Therapy and EMDR. I honor confidentiality of children/ teens while making sure to involve parents in treatment and keep clear lines of communication.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be an opportunity for introductions. I will ensure you have time to share about past experiences in therapy, explore more about what brings you into therapy now, and explore what you want to get out of our time together. I will gather some information about your history. I will ensure you understand the paperwork you signed and allow an opportunity for any questions you may have.
