Great to meet you!

After 20 years as a Registered Nurse, I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner to help people find real relief, not just a diagnosis. I work with children, teens, and adults across Iowa managing anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, PTSD, and sleep issues through telehealth, with an empowering, holistic, down-to-earth style.

My approach to therapy

I believe psychiatric care works best as a true partnership. Using motivational interviewing, I help you set your own goals and move at your own pace, rather than being told what to do. You stay closely involved in every decision, from diagnosis through treatment planning, so the plan reflects what matters to you

What you can expect from me

In our first visit, we will talk openly about what has been going on and what you hope will change. I will walk you through every option in plain language, no jargon, so you understand why a medication or approach is suggested. You will have the full picture before we decide anything together, and can ask questions anytime.
