Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over fifteen years of experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds to improve their overall well-being by using an array of treatment modalities and evidence-based techniques. I hold a Masters of Social Work degree from New York University, where I developed a solid foundation in providing psychotherapy. Since entering the field in 2005, I have provided trauma-informed clinical services in numerous settings, and to many populations, including children, teens, adults and geriatrics.

My approach to therapy

When working with clients, my approach is tailored to each client's unique needs, combining a variety of techniques and modalities with a compassionate, person-centered philosophy. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insight, and develop practical strategies for change. Treatment modalities I have received additional training in include Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Training for Adoption Competent (TAC) therapists.

What you can expect from me

I like to spend the first session hearing from the client about what has brought them to seek therapy at this time and what they hope to get out of it. I strive to create a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental space where clients can feel comfortable sharing about themselves. I then provide some information about my professional background and approach to treatment, and most importantly, how I think we might be able to work together to bring you the results you are seeking. Therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist, and that relationship is crucial in the process of healing. It is important to me that you feel comfortable with our work together.
