Great to meet you!

I came to professional counseling about 15 years ago - after 20 years of working in medical research. I have a lot of life experience and have lived all over the world (an Army brat!) and experienced a fair number of different cultures and approaches to life. I am also a huge animal lover and have a silly Australian Sheperd and horses... they keep me busy!

My approach to therapy

I tend to mold my approach based on each individual’s needs. I am a conversational therapist - we just talk! I will weave in my preferred counseling methodologies such as motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and sometimes other modalities such as internal family systems or polyvagal theory. It all depends on you, your experiences and needs! I have a lot of experience in working with individuals with chronic pain and illness, individuals with anxiety and depression and those who just need some support to help ease the stresses of every day life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will focus on getting to know each other and figuring out the best way forward in helping you achieve your goals, manage stress and life in general, etc!!
