Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Holly — a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years in practice. If you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, the daily weight of chronic pain or illness, or just the accumulated stress of everyday life, I'd love to help. I work with adults, and I have particular experience supporting people living with chronic pain and chronic illness — that intersection of physical and emotional health that so often gets overlooked.

I came to counseling after 20 years in medical research, which gives me a real appreciation for how the body and mind work together. I'm also an Army brat who's lived all over the world and experienced a lot of different cultures and approaches to life — so wherever you're coming from, I'm genuinely curious about your story and not quick to judge it. And in the interest of full disclosure: I'm a huge animal lover with a very silly Australian Shepherd and a couple of horses who keep me thoroughly busy.

My approach to therapy

I shape my approach around you rather than running everyone through the same playbook. At heart I'm a conversational therapist — we just talk. Woven into that conversation are the methods I lean on most: motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy, along with approaches like Internal Family Systems, somatic work, and polyvagal-informed therapy when they fit what you need. It all depends on you, your experiences, and where you want to go.

I have deep experience with chronic pain and illness, anxiety and depression, trauma, and supporting people who simply need help easing the stresses of daily life. Wherever you're starting, we'll go at a pace that feels right for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other — no pressure to have anything figured out ahead of time. We'll talk about what brought you in, what's been feeling hard, and what you'd like to be different. From there we'll start mapping out the best way forward toward your goals, whether that's managing stress, working through something you've been carrying, or just feeling more like yourself again. Mostly, I want you to leave that first conversation feeling comfortable, heard, and hopeful.
