Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, who has worked in a variety of settings and roles - as a school counselor, as an academic advisor, and in outpatient private practice.
As a former athlete I developed an interest in the impact of exercise, physical activity, nutrition, and healthy habits on general wellness and mental health. In addition, I completed an Eating Disorders Training Certification (EDTC) from the Telehealth Certification Institute.
I have experience helping clients of all ages with anxiety, depression, life transitions, body image/self-esteem issues, disordered eating, stress, ADHD, school issues, relationship issues, and I am an ally for the LGBTQ+ community.
I believe in approaching each client in a holistic manner and as a unique individual. I do so by using a combination of psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and solution-focused models to foster an improvement in overall functioning.
In addition, I like to incorporate interventions that help with developing healthier habits, goal setting, skill-building, coping strategies, mindfulness/being present, stress management, boundary setting, self-care, identifying one's individual strengths, increasing positivity, and improving communication with others.
I aim to provide a warm environment where together we can work through some of the issues currently holding you back.
