Great to meet you!

I'm Holly, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 23 years of clinical experience in psychiatric care and maternal-child health. This dual background has shaped how I see mental health: not as something separate from the rest of your life, but deeply woven into every transition, relationship, and challenge you face. My work taught me that women's mental health—especially during pregnancy, postpartum, and hormonal transitions—requires specialized understanding and individualized care.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric treatment for adults across a broad spectrum of conditions: perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD and trauma-related disorders, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia spectrum conditions. I have particular expertise in women's mental health throughout the reproductive years, though I welcome anyone seeking compassionate, evidence-based care.

My approach is straightforward: effective treatment should fit your real life. I combine psychiatric interventions—including medication management when appropriate—with practical therapeutic strategies and lifestyle modifications that actually work for you. I'll help you understand what's happening, why it's happening, and what options make sense for your unique situation.

What matters most to me is seeing you as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. You have strengths, values, relationships, and goals that deserve attention alongside your symptoms. Whether you're managing a long-standing condition, processing trauma, navigating major life changes, or simply seeking better balance, you deserve a provider who recognizes your potential and partners with you toward sustainable wellness.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is personalized and compassionate. Behind every diagnosis is a person with their own story, struggles, strengths, and aspirations—and my role is to honor that humanity while providing expert psychiatric treatment. I am committed to meeting you where you are, without judgment, without assumptions, and with sincere empathy for your experiences.

I prioritize cultivating a strong relationship built on trust and mutual respect. I want you to feel safe bringing your whole self to our sessions—your questions, concerns, doubts, victories, and setbacks. Nothing you share will be met with anything less than complete acceptance.

My approach to medication management is collaborative and intentional. I take time to understand your specific symptoms, past medication experiences, and any concerns about beginning or adjusting treatment. We will explore your options together, and I will offer clear explanations about how medications work, what benefits they may provide, and what side effects to be aware of.

I also recognize that effective care reaches well beyond prescribing. I will ask about your sleep, stress levels, coping strategies, support system, and other elements that influence mental health. I stay accessible between appointments and coordinate with your other healthcare providers when beneficial to ensure integrated, well-rounded care.

If something is not working or new concerns surface, I want to hear about it so we can refine our plan together. I celebrate your progress and remain steadfast through challenges, believing deeply in your capacity for healing. Every milestone you reach, no matter how small, is a reflection of your remarkable strength and resilience.

You deserve care that sees you as a whole person. Together, we will build a path toward wellness that honors who you are—and that path begins the moment you choose to reach out. Your journey starts here.

What you can expect from me

I want your first appointment to feel less like a clinical encounter and more like a purposeful exchange with someone who sincerely cares about your well-being. We will spend time getting to know one another, because effective treatment relies on trust and mutual respect as its foundation.

I will begin by asking what brought you here and truly hearing your answer. Whether you are contending with persistent worry, lingering sadness, emotional shifts, or difficulty sustaining focus, I want to understand how these challenges are affecting your life in real, everyday terms.

We will thoroughly review your mental health history, including prior diagnoses, treatments you have pursued, and how you responded to each. I will also ask about your family's psychiatric background, as genetic factors frequently play a notable role. We will discuss your current life circumstances, sources of stress, relationships, professional environment, and how you are managing from day to day.

Regarding medication management, I emphasize education and shared decision-making. We will talk through how medications function, which symptoms they target, practical timelines for observing improvement, and side effects worth monitoring. I will be candid about uncertainties. Finding the ideal medication sometimes demands trial and thoughtful calibration, and I will never rush this process because achieving the right result carries far greater importance than reaching a swift conclusion.

We will also explore complementary approaches such as lifestyle modifications and stress reduction techniques that reinforce your overall wellness. You will leave with a clear treatment plan, realistic expectations, and the confidence that someone is genuinely invested in your recovery.

Your journey toward wellness starts right here, and I will walk beside you through every stage. You deserve care as committed to your healing as you are.
