Great to meet you!

As a Veteran and a therapist, I know the chaos, grief, and unpredictability of everyday life from the inside — not just from the other side of a screen. I've spent over a decade helping adults ages 18–100 navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship stress, and the kind of life transitions that leave you wondering how you got here. I especially work with veterans, LGBTQIA+ clients, and people who've spent too long being the strong one for everyone else. I practice entirely via telehealth throughout Virginia on evenings and weekends — because healing shouldn't require rearranging your whole life. I accept Aetna, Anthem VA, Kaiser Permanente of the Mid Atlantic in Virginia and Carelon.

My approach to therapy

My practice is client goal-driven — you are the decider here! Using CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and ACT, we'll explore how your past experiences shape the present while building practical tools you can use right away. That means identifying the patterns that aren't working, strengthening coping skills, and creating new emotional experiences — not just talking about the old ones. Whether you're a veteran navigating the transition back to civilian life, an LGBTQIA+ adult who wants to skip straight to the real work, or someone carrying grief that doesn't have a clear shape yet — I meet you where you are. Direct and warm, with a sense of humor when it fits, because therapy doesn't have to be grim to be transformative.

I work with adults 18-100, seasoned experience working with Veterans, older adults and caregivers as well as LGBTQIA+ population. Bring your "mess" and let's dig in!

What you can expect from me

My goal for our first session is simple: put you at ease and get on the same page. This is your work, which means you get to decide where you want to go, what you want to focus on, and how you want your life to change. We'll talk about what brought you in, what you've tried before, and what you're actually hoping for — and I genuinely want to know. Most clients leave with at least one tangible nugget — something to either put into action or sit with on your own before we meet again. No pressure, no performance. But be prepared to do "the work" outside of our time together. Think of me as the trainer at the gym, I can guide, but you put in the work, both at the gym when the trainer is present and on your own. I'm here to remind you who you are, and the strength that is already here.
