Great to meet you!

I know reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially if you're used to carrying everything on your own. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and work through life's challenges without fear of judgment.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I believe therapy should feel collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. While much of my professional experience has been working with adolescents and families in a school setting, I also enjoy working with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, and other emotional challenges.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, we'll work together to better understand what's keeping you where you are, build practical coping strategies, and help you move toward the life you want to create.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. Building trust is always my first priority because meaningful change happens when you feel safe, supported, and understood. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, explore your thoughts and emotions openly, and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I primarily use Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I believe therapy should provide both a safe place to process your experiences and practical strategies you can use in your everyday life. Together, we'll identify unhelpful patterns, build practical coping skills, and develop strategies that support lasting growth and resilience.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, or overwhelming emotions, we'll work together to create realistic goals and meaningful progress that fits your life.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong foundation for our work together. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. There is no pressure to share everything during our first meeting, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we'll begin identifying goals and creating a plan that feels realistic and meaningful for where you are right now. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of what our work together can look like.

When working with adolescents, I value collaboration with parents or caregivers when appropriate while also ensuring each teen has a safe, respectful space where they can feel heard and build trust throughout the counseling process.

Finding the right therapist is important, and I want you to feel comfortable asking questions along the way. My hope is that you'll leave our first session feeling confident about the next steps, whether that's continuing our work together or discussing what support would be the best fit for your needs.
