Great to meet you!

My clinical work is informed by over two decades of professional training and practice in both Taiwan and the United States. I hold a bachelor’s degree in social work from Taiwan and a master’s degree in psychology from the U.S., and I am licensed as a mental health professional in both countries.

I offer therapy in multiple languages, including English, Mandarin Chinese, and Taiwanese (Hokkien), and I am attentive to each client’s language preferences and cultural background. This cross-cultural and multilingual foundation allows me to work sensitively with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, immigration-related stress, and major life transitions.

My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, and I strive to offer a therapeutic relationship that feels steady, compassionate, and grounded in each client’s cultural and personal context.

My approach to therapy

Building on my cross-cultural clinical background, I offer a warm, client-centered approach to therapy grounded in trauma-informed care. I integrate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Satir Model, and Motivational Interviewing to support clients in gently processing past experiences, reducing emotional overwhelm, and strengthening their sense of readiness for change.

I value collaboration and respect each client’s pace. My goal is to foster greater self-understanding, emotional steadiness, and more fulfilling relationships within a therapeutic space that feels safe, supportive, and culturally responsive.

What you can expect from me

Reaching out for therapy often takes a great deal of courage—especially if you are meeting a new therapist, or if you have tried therapy before and still feel stuck. Choosing to begin therapy does not mean that something is wrong with you; it means you are taking a meaningful step toward caring for yourself and the relationships that matter to you.

I offer a warm, compassionate space where you are invited to move at your own pace and do not have to figure things out on your own. In our first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment. We will talk together about what brings you in, what you are hoping for, and any concerns or questions you may have, always guided by what feels safe and comfortable for you.

There is no pressure to share more than you are ready to. Our initial work is about building a sense of safety and connection, and beginning to shape a thoughtful, collaborative path forward that honors your strengths, values, and readiness for change.
