Great to meet you!

I was raised in San Diego, CA, and received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. I completed both my doctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at CU Boulder's Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS). I prioritize a generalist approach that prepares me to work effectively with a very wide range of concerns in therapy, and I have specializations in providing compassionate crisis services as well as behavioral health support in medical settings.

My approach to therapy

I'm trained in several evidence-based approaches to therapy and enjoy treating a very wide range of concerns, from the stress of life transitions to chronic thoughts of suicide. I’m committed to the creation of a strong and authentic therapeutic relationship, and I compassionately integrate therapeutic approaches to align with your preferences while applying a strengths-based, multicultural lens to ensure that you’re understood in the context of the life you’ve lived.

What you can expect from me

I’m passionate about using therapy as a tool of liberation, as I believe that our mental health is deeply related to both the quality of our relationships and the challenging circumstances of our daily lives. By working together to cultivate a compassionate, trusting relationship to yourself and a strong connection to the world around you, I believe that what also emerges is a sense of agency that will empower you to navigate life’s adversities with meaning and satisfaction.
