Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience in mental health and human services. I earned my Master of Social Work from New York University and have spent much of my career helping individuals navigate emotional challenges, life transitions, relationships, trauma, stress, and periods of uncertainty.

My approach is compassionate, insightful, and empowering. I believe therapy should be a place where you can speak openly, gain a deeper understanding of yourself, recognize patterns that may be holding you back, and develop practical strategies for moving forward. I bring extensive clinical experience to our work while recognizing that you are the expert on your own life.

I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and belief systems. For those who desire it, I am also comfortable integrating faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process. Faith-based counseling is an option—not an expectation—and our work will always be guided by your needs, values, and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and strengths-based. I work to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, understand patterns, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. I believe therapy is not simply about addressing what is wrong, but also discovering what is strong, resilient, and possible within you.

I draw from trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and person-centered approaches, tailoring therapy to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. My work may focus on anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and finding greater balance and purpose.

When spirituality or faith is important to a client, I welcome the opportunity to thoughtfully integrate it into therapy. For others, therapy remains fully grounded in their individual values, beliefs, and personal goals. Wherever you are starting from, my goal is to help you gain insight, strengthen your coping skills, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share what feels most important, what you hope will be different, and what you would like to gain from our work together. There is no pressure to tell your whole story at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable and respectful to you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your concerns, strengths, goals, and the areas where you would most like support or change. I may ask questions about your current experiences, relationships, coping strategies, and relevant history so that I can better understand the whole person—not simply the problem that brought you through the door.

Most importantly, you can expect a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful that we have a direction forward. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will build that path together.
