Great to meet you!

As a Mental Health Counselor who graduated from Hofstra University in 2021, I received a masters degree in counseling. During my time in graduate school I found myself working with general mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, as well as certification in working with clients with substance use and addiction issues. During my training I also gathered experience with young adults diagnosed with ASD and ADHD.

My approach to therapy

Together we will work weekly to empower you to be able to manage your wellbeing and symptoms as they pop up. With a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology I use evidence-based practices to enable growth within an individual. I believe in an inclusive and non-judgmental stance to therapy, no matter what your background and/or beliefs may be. Together we can collaborate in creative ways to improve thought patterns, behaviors and emotions.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to collaborate on goal setting, as well as feedback during the therapeutic process. It is imperative to create a safe and inclusive environment to enable the building of trust as well as a non-judgmental space for therapy to take place. Sometimes additional resources are needed when working through complex issues, collaborating with others can be essential to working towards our desired goals and outcomes.
