Great to meet you!

Welcome! I provide encouraging, evidence-based, and culturally affirming individual therapy. I have a special affinity working with people of color, and I hold niche expertise in working with law and other graduate students, early-career attorneys, and professionals, and parents. Treatment concerns may include depressive and anxiety symptoms, relationship transitions, occupational or academic stress, and other adjustment issues. Most importantly, I welcome and serve clients across all genders, identities, and backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

Foundationally my work is person-centered, meaning "you're the captain of your ship". Additionally, I am guided by DBT (i.e. mindfulness; distress tolerance; emotion regulation; and interpersonal effectiveness) and CBT school of thought (i.e. how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are influenced by each other).

What you can expect from me

Many clients that I work with are experiencing stress related to transitions or adjustments. The first session will delve into your current experience, life history, and building our therapeutic alliance. Soon after, we will discuss strengths, values, and your therapy goals. Depending on need, we may meet weekly, biweekly, or even monthly over a period of a few short months to over a year.
