Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Igua, a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for helping people feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, treating conditions like anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe space where you can be yourself. I offer thoughtful psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized care that fits your needs and goals. I’m here to walk alongside you—one step at a time—toward healing and balance.

My approach to therapy

I take a warm, collaborative approach to working with clients, creating a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to understand each person’s unique story and tailor care that fits their needs—whether that includes therapy, medication management, or both. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use, and I value building trust through honesty, education, and empathy.

I believe healing is a journey, not a destination, and I walk alongside my clients with patience and compassion. Together, we work toward sustainable change and a better quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling heard, supported, and empowered with tools to manage their mental health more confidently. My goal is to help each person build insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while creating a clear, personalized treatment plan that supports long-term wellness.

I aim to foster a calm, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring difficult emotions or life challenges. Together, we work toward outcomes such as symptom relief, improved coping strategies, stronger emotional regulation, and restored hope. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk beside you with compassion and care as we move toward meaningful change.
