Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working in outpatient, crisis, residential, and acute behavioral health settings. Since beginning my work as a clinician in 2018, I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and difficulty navigating overwhelming emotions.

My diverse clinical background has taught me that people do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Sometimes you simply know that something is not working anymore and you are ready for something to change. I strive to provide a space where you can be yourself, talk openly about what is happening in your life, and feel supported without judgment while we work toward meaningful and realistic change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empowering, and affirming . I believe therapy should be a collaborative process, so I will not simply sit back and expect you to figure everything out on your own. I ask questions, offer feedback, teach practical skills, and help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

I primarily incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing healthier ways to cope and respond. I also recognize that every person is different, so I tailor treatment to your individual experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. You can expect compassion and validation from me, but also gentle challenges when they can help you grow.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about helping me understand you—not just your symptoms. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you would like to change, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I will also ask questions about your history, relationships, strengths, current stressors, and the things that are already helping you cope.

There is no expectation that you share everything at once. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can move at a pace that feels appropriate for you. By the end of our initial sessions, we will begin identifying clear and realistic goals for therapy and developing a plan that feels meaningful and achievable to you.
