Great to meet you!

I am a psychiatric provider with specialized training in both mental health and women's health, including a background in midwifery. This unique combination allows me to offer care that recognizes how deeply intertwined physical health, hormonal changes, and emotional wellbeing truly are.

My practice focuses on psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults across Illinois, with a particular emphasis on supporting women through the many phases of the reproductive lifespan — from PMS and PMDD, to pregnancy and postpartum, through perimenopause and beyond. I also work with anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar spectrum disorders, OCD, ADHD, and trauma-related symptoms.

I believe that good psychiatric care goes beyond prescribing. I take time to understand your full picture — your sleep, your stress, your daily routines, your relationships, and your life context — so that the support I offer is grounded in who you actually are, not just a checklist of symptoms.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and evidence-based. I work best with clients who are looking for a provider who will be straightforward and clinically thorough, while also treating them with genuine respect and curiosity. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to partner with you in making sense of what you're experiencing and finding a path forward that feels realistic and sustainable.

If you are looking for a provider who truly understands both mental health and women's health, I would be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, unhurried, and grounded in the realities of everyday life. I believe that effective psychiatric care requires more than identifying symptoms and prescribing medication — it requires understanding the full context of a person's life, including their relationships, responsibilities, stress, sleep, and physical health.

During our first meeting, I take time to conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation, listening carefully to your history and what has brought you to seek care. From there, we work together to build a treatment plan that reflects both clinical best practices and your personal values and goals. I will always explain my thinking clearly, so you understand the reasoning behind any recommendations I make.

Medication management is a core part of my practice, and I approach it thoughtfully — starting low, adjusting carefully, and checking in regularly to make sure what we are doing is actually working for you. I also offer practical guidance around sleep hygiene, stress management, boundary setting, and daily routines, because these factors meaningfully shape mental health outcomes.

I have specialized training in women's health and midwifery, which informs my care for clients navigating mood and anxiety concerns connected to the reproductive lifespan. Whether you are managing PMDD, navigating the emotional landscape of pregnancy or postpartum, or making sense of mood changes in perimenopause, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine understanding to that experience.

I work best with clients who want a provider who is direct, knowledgeable, and respectful — someone who takes their concerns seriously and works with them, not just for them. My goal is for every client to leave our appointments feeling heard, informed, and supported.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is all about you — your story, your concerns, and what has brought you to seek support. We will go through your mental health history, current symptoms, any previous treatments, and relevant life context, including physical and reproductive health. I ask a lot of questions, and I listen carefully. You do not need to have it all figured out before we meet.

By the end of our time together, I want you to feel heard and to leave with some clarity. I will share my initial impressions openly, explain any diagnoses I am considering in plain language, and if medication seems like a good fit, we will talk through the options together so you can make a decision that feels right for you.

I also want to make sure there is room for your questions. You should never leave feeling confused about what comes next.

Reaching out for psychiatric care is not a small thing, and I do not take lightly the trust it takes to share your story with someone new. My hope is that by the end of our first session, you feel a little lighter and that you leave knowing you have found someone genuinely in your corner.
