Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ileen. I am a bilingual therapist who is deeply committed to supporting children, teens, and families as they navigate the emotional challenges that can come with growing up, parenting, and healing. My background as an elementary school teacher shaped my passion for understanding how kids learn, feel, and relate to the world, and that foundation continues to guide my work today. Clients describe me as warm, steady, and straightforward. I care about creating a space where every child and family feels seen, supported, and understood.

My approach to therapy

I meet each client and family exactly where they are. Whether we are working through trauma, big emotions, crisis moments, or communication challenges at home, my approach is active, collaborative, and rooted in compassion. I pay close attention to patterns, relationships, and the unique strengths each person brings. I am especially passionate about empowering girls and teens to understand their boundaries, their voice, and their worth. As a multicultural and bilingual clinician, I honor cultural identity and advocate for supports that fit each child’s learning and emotional needs.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is about connection. You can expect a safe, welcoming space where you or your child can share what has been going on at a pace that feels comfortable. I will listen closely, ask helpful questions, and begin to understand the goals you want for yourself or your family. My hope is that you leave feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the steps ahead. From there, we will work together to build skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change.
