Iliamari Vazquez Houston LCSW is the Owner and Clinical Director at With An Open Heart, LLC. Iliamari is a Latina Trauma Therapist with over 15 yrs of experience working with diverse communities. Iliamari's group practice takes a holistic and trauma-informed approach to working with clients. Iliamari is an EMDR Certified, RunWalkTalk-certified, and IFS Level 1 trained therapist who also uses other modalities to help clients process past trauma and work on healing. The clinicians who work at the group practice also are trauma informed clinicians who use CBT, DBT, mindfulness and solution focused approaches.

Our goal is to provide a safe nonjudgemental space for you and incorporate a holistic approach to healing. In this space we will focus on what you need and build toward processing trauma. Iliamari uses eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy techniques. All clinicians incorporate other techniques such as internal family systems (IFS/parts work), cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, talk therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and walk-and-talk therapy.

From the very first session, we start building rapport and discussing your goals, what modalities we could use, and how they can help heal. This is your journey, not ours. We meet you where you are; you are the guide and we are your support. We can provide a safe space to share and feel heard.
