Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Iman Yunis, DNP, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, stress, and other mental health challenges.

My approach is centered on understanding each person as a whole not simply focusing on a diagnosis. I believe that feeling heard, respected, and understood is an important part of the healing process. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based. I take the time to understand each client's symptoms, personal history, lifestyle, goals, and treatment preferences before developing a treatment plan.

When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and lifestyle recommendations. I believe in shared decision-making, so I work together with my clients to identify treatment options that feel appropriate and manageable for them.

My goal is to provide compassionate care while helping clients develop practical strategies to improve their emotional well-being and achieve greater stability in their daily lives.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, we will take time to get to know you and understand what brought you to treatment. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, mental health history, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and personal goals.

You will have an opportunity to ask questions and share what you hope to accomplish through treatment. Together, we will discuss recommendations and develop an individualized treatment plan based on your needs and preferences.

Most importantly, you can expect a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out before our first appointment we will take the process one step at a time.
