Great to meet you!

Professional Introduction

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with more than 17 years of experience helping people heal from trauma and reconnect with themselves. My approach is integrative, compassionate, and grounded in the understanding that meaningful healing involves the whole person—mind, body, relationships, and environment.

My education includes graduate training in social work and additional study in somatic and trauma-informed approaches, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and nature-based and animal-assisted therapies. I also have a longstanding interest in depth psychology, dreams, spirituality, and the ways our inner lives shape our relationships and sense of meaning.

I specialize in working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, life transitions, relationship difficulties, grief, and challenges involving identity, meaning, and personal growth. I draw from somatic, mindfulness-based, and psychodynamic perspectives and tailor treatment to each individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.

My goal is to create a safe, thoughtful space where you can slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and develop a deeper relationship with yourself. Therapy is not simply about eliminating symptoms—it can also be an opportunity for greater self-understanding, resilience, and a more meaningful way of living.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

I work collaboratively with clients, creating a warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where we can explore both what is happening in your life now and the deeper experiences that may be shaping it. My style is relational, compassionate, and curious, while also providing practical tools when they are helpful.

My work is strongly trauma-informed and somatic, meaning I pay attention not only to thoughts and emotions but also to what is happening in the body. I incorporate mindfulness, body awareness, nature-based approaches, meditation, and other experiential practices when appropriate. I also draw from psychodynamic and depth-oriented perspectives to help clients explore patterns, relationships, dreams, identity, and questions of meaning.

I have particular experience working with trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship concerns, life transitions, and clients who feel disconnected from themselves or uncertain about their direction. I especially value working with people who want to go beyond symptom management and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.

Therapy with me is individualized. We will work together to understand what you need, identify what is getting in the way of living the life you want, and develop a path toward greater connection, resilience, and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

Your First Session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a foundation for our work together. I’ll want to understand what brings you to therapy, what you are experiencing right now, and what you hope will be different as a result of our work.

I’ll also ask about your history, relationships, strengths, and experiences that may be relevant to what you’re facing. You’ll have plenty of space to ask questions about my approach and decide whether you feel comfortable working with me.

I don’t expect you to have everything figured out before you come in. We can begin wherever you are. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer sense of how we might work together.
