Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, advanced postdoctoral training, and over 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in school settings, clinics, and private practice. I have also supervised psychologists in training and bring a depth of experience to both therapy and evaluation work.

I have extensive experience in the diagnosis and evaluation of learning disorders and learning differences across the lifespan. I work closely with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help clarify cognitive, academic, and emotional challenges, and I strive to translate evaluations into clear, meaningful recommendations that can be applied in everyday life, school, or work settings.

In addition, I specialize in working with artists, performers, and other creative professionals. As a musician myself, I am able to help clients address creative blocks, performance anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, and the emotional challenges that often accompany creative work. I am particularly interested in supporting individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their creative process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, and individualized. I am trained in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and contemplative/mindfulness-based treatment approaches, and I tailor treatment to each client’s developmental stage, goals, and life circumstances. I aim to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood while also gaining practical tools for change. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and view therapy as a collaborative process that supports both symptom relief and deeper self-understanding. My goal is to help clients build resilience, clarity, and confidence in their lives and work.

What you can expect from me

At the initial session, clients can expect a supportive and non-judgmental environment, in which they can share what has brought them to seek therapy. Together, we will work collaboratively to formulate a treatment plan. I will answer any questions clients may have about how therapy works, as well as my own credentials and treatment approach.
