Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Dr. Ira Lowinger, a licensed psychologist dedicated to helping you understand your unique strengths and live a more fulfilling life. I earned my Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from Pace University and welcome children, adolescents, and adults into my practice. I specialize in supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodiversity (including high-functioning autism), and challenging life or relationship transitions. My ultimate goal is to provide an inclusive space where you feel safe, valued, and completely empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be entirely customized to you, blending a warm, empathetic style with practical, proven strategies. In our work together, I combine day-to-day coping skills with deeper self-reflection to help you get to the root of your challenges. Together, we will look at behavior and thought patterns that might be holding you back and find healthier ways to navigate your emotions and relationships. My focus is always on helping you break free from limitations so you can live an authentic life that is truly yours.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and completely non-judgmental environment where you can freely share your story. We will focus on getting to know each other, discussing what brings you to therapy, and highlighting your personal strengths. From there, we will work together to map out a personalized treatment plan built entirely around your unique goals. It’s a supportive, conversational space designed to ensure you feel comfortable, heard, and confident right from the start.
