Great to meet you!

Hello, my name is Irena Raagas and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working with diverse populations and different age groups from children to seniors. I have worked in Mental Health with the Veteran population at the US Department of Veterans Affairs for 10 years. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University and received my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California specializing in Military Populations and Settings.

My approach to therapy

I believe the best approach to therapy is to meet you where you are at in your journey to recovery. You will be in a warm and validating space and free to express yourself with no judgment. We will work together to help achieve workable goals at a pace that is comfortable for you.

What you can expect from me

I want you to feel that you are being heard. Maybe you are feeling depressed and isolated, unhappy with your job or increasingly anxious and not sure why. Perhaps you are in your older years and not feeling as useful and that is causing you to isolate. I believe that being open during sessions is the best way for me to help you. I'm there to listen and help you put the pieces of the puzzle together and create a trusting, respectful environment.
