Great to meet you!

I am Dr. Irene Ansah, PsyD, LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor with training in mental health counseling, behavioral health care management, and leadership in clinical services. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns, and I support clients who want practical tools to improve their well-being and confidence. I also offer faith-sensitive support for clients who wish to include their spiritual values as part of the healing process. My approach combines compassion with structure, so clients feel heard while also making meaningful progress. I am especially passionate about helping individuals strengthen resilience, clarify goals, and move forward with purpose.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empowering, and solution-focused. I work collaboratively with clients to understand their experiences, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies that support lasting change. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral techniques, strengths-based therapy, and holistic support that considers emotional, relational, and life-context factors. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients feel safe, respected, and motivated to grow. When desired, I can incorporate faith-informed perspectives as a supportive resource within therapy.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive conversation where we explore what brings you to therapy and what you would like to change or improve. I take time to understand your goals, strengths, and concerns so we can begin creating a clear plan together. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard, encouraged, and confident about the direction of our work together. Many clients find they gain both clarity and practical next steps after the first visit.
