Great to meet you!

I’m a Latina therapist who understands firsthand the complexities of balancing cultural identity, personal growth, and emotional well-being. I’ve spent years working with adults facing challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, and cultural identity issues. In addition to my lived experiences, I hold a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, and I have trained in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy to best serve my clients.

My passion lies in helping individuals like you better understand and manage their emotions, while also respecting the unique cultural context that shapes your experiences. Over the years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients helping them find clarity, healing, and the courage to move forward with more confidence. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or stress, I’m here to help guide you toward meaningful change.

I know that therapy can be a vulnerable journey, and I’m honored to be part of your process. My hope is that through our work together, you not only feel understood, but empowered to create lasting, positive change in your life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, cultural awareness, and collaboration. I believe that therapy is a partnership, where we work together to understand the root causes of your challenges and identify the tools that will help you move forward.

I understand that each person’s journey is different, and I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without fear. My approach is not one-size-fits-all; it’s about meeting you where you are and helping you develop the skills to navigate life’s challenges in a way that aligns with your values and goals.

Together, we’ll focus on understanding how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence each other and work toward creating meaningful change. My goal is to empower you to manage stress, build emotional resilience, and strengthen your sense of self. Whether you’re working through cultural challenges, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, I’m here to support you in becoming the best version of yourself.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect to leave with not only a deeper understanding of yourself, but also practical tools and strategies to improve your emotional well-being. You might come in feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, unsure of how to navigate cultural pressures, or weighed down by the burden of self-doubt. By the end of our work together, you’ll have gained clarity, confidence, and a set of coping skills tailored to your unique life circumstances.

For example, if you’ve been struggling with anxiety, you’ll walk away with effective techniques to challenge negative thought patterns and reduce the physical symptoms of stress. If you’ve been feeling disconnected from your own identity or caught between cultures, we’ll work on building self-acceptance and strength, empowering you to live more authentically.

Throughout our time together, you’ll also develop a toolkit of coping strategies, such as mindfulness practices for managing overwhelming emotions, or skills for setting healthy boundaries in relationships. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more capable of handling life’s challenges - whether they’re internal struggles like self-doubt, or external pressures like work stress or family expectations.
