Great to meet you!

I'm Irene Perales, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I take a holistic approach to therapy and truly care about helping people feel less stuck and more themselves. I earned my degrees, a Bachelor in Community and Mental Health from Texas A&M–Corpus Christi and then a Master of Social Work from UT Arlington. I’ve spent my career supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD‐related challenges, grief, and long‐standing patterns that feel hard to break. At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to help you understand your past and support you as you confidently move forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and deeply rooted in understanding the patterns that have shaped your life. I take an integrated form of EMDR & IFS to help you make sense of where your struggles come from so you can build skills that will create lasting change. Together, we look at your thoughts, emotions, and daily habits — sleep, nourishment, movement — so you can move through life with more clarity, flexibility, and self‐trust.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll slow things down so I can understand what’s been weighing on you — not just the symptoms, but the patterns, history, and daily habits that shape how you’re feeling. I’ll ask thoughtful, collaborative questions to get a clear picture of your goals, your strengths, and what you hope will be different. You won’t need to have everything figured out; your only job is to show up as you are. Together, we’ll begin mapping out a clear, practical path forward. My goal, that you leave every session feeling heard, supported, and a little more hopeful about what comes next.
