Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Irina Campbell, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC.

I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, which allows me to provide truly holistic, whole-person care—integrating both physical and mental health in treatment planning. My background in primary care and psychiatry enables me to look beyond surface symptoms and focus on root causes, with careful listening, compassion, and respect for each individual’s lived experience.

My clinical focus centers on trauma-informed care, including childhood trauma and existential trauma, and how these experiences shape emotional, behavioral, and relational health across the lifespan. I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, gender dysphoria, adult caregivers of elderly parents' w/wo dementia, court/custody support, high conflict divorce, pornography/addiction, parent/child reunification and child/adult parental alienation.

I use a personalized, evidence-based approach, tailoring therapy to each patient’s needs and goals. Modalities I commonly integrate include EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, Gestalt, humanistic, and existential therapies with careful medication management if needed. Treatment is collaborative, strengths-based, and paced to support safety, insight, and long-term healing.

My goal is to help patients feel heard, understood, and empowered—supporting meaningful change and improved quality of life through compassionate, thoughtful care.

My approach to therapy

My work with clients is collaborative, trauma‐informed, and individualized. I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and respected. I take time to listen deeply, understand patterns, and explore root causes rather than focusing only on symptoms.

Because I am dual‐certified as an FNP and PMHNP, I approach care from a whole‐person perspective, integrating mental, emotional, and physical health. Treatment plans are tailored to each client’s needs, gender, values, culture, and pace, with an emphasis on empowerment and long‐term healing rather than quick fixes.

I specialize in working with trauma, including childhood and existential trauma, and conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, court/custody related support therapy, pornography/addiction help, adult caregivers of elderly parents' w/wo dementia, child/parent reunifications, and child/adult parental alienation. I use evidence‐based and integrative modalities, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, Ketamine guided psychotherapy, psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential approaches. Modalities are selected and blended based on what best supports the individual client.

My style is compassionate, thoughtful, and structured, helping clients develop insight, emotional regulation, and resilience while moving toward meaningful and sustainable change.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where the primary focus is on helping them feel safe, heard, and understood. I take time to learn about your concerns, personal history, current stressors, and what led you to seek care, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we begin identifying patterns, strengths, and root causes contributing to your symptoms. I provide thoughtful questions, reflective listening, and gentle guidance to help clarify goals and priorities. If appropriate, we also review mental and physical health factors to support a whole‐person approach.

By the end of the first session, we typically:

  • Establish a sense of trust and therapeutic safety
  • Clarify your main concerns and short‐term goals
  • Discuss a preliminary treatment direction and modalities that may be helpful

You can expect compassion, collaboration, and clear communication—without pressure to share more than you are ready for. The goal of the first session is to create a strong foundation for healing, insight, and meaningful progress moving forward.
