Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Iris Haze. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I have been working for 25 years as a licensed therapist. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. Though I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and various emotional challenges, I have a passion for assisting my clients with family relationship difficulties, anxiety conditions, and work life balance stressors.

My approach to therapy

I love working with my clients! You will find that I am very easy to talk to with a kind and non judgmental spirit. My main therapy treatment models will be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. We are all unique, and different people respond to different treatment strategies, so I would utilize a therapeutic modality that is suitable for my client’s needs.

What you can expect from me

I work to help my clients to relax in our sessions and to make sure that they know that they are in a safe, non-judgmental space. This is an important part in the therapeutic process. I will generally ask in the first session- why are you seeking therapy at this time and what do you hope to accomplish in our time together. This usually sets the tone for treatment goal setting, which is the "road map" for the following sessions.
