Great to meet you!

I bring a comprehensive background in healthcare and social services, with experience spanning a wide range of specialties and care settings. My work has included oncology, dementia care and caregiver support, geriatric evaluation, and primary care coordination. I have also provided services in adult day programs, nursing homes, home health, emergency rooms, and programs supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or serious mental illness.

In addition, I have supported clients dealing with depression, anxiety, sleep issues, substance use, and grief, always with a focus on person-centered, compassionate care. My experience extends to the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), where I’ve helped older adults maintain their independence and quality of life. I also have strong supervisory experience and a commitment to promoting collaborative, holistic approaches to well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded in genuine human connection. I create a safe, respectful space and use humor when appropriate to help ease tension and offer fresh perspective. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while strengthening their motivation for change. I also incorporate education, positive psychology, and a client-centered framework to highlight strengths and resilience. When appropriate, I integrate hypnotherapy to support deeper, lasting shifts.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will complete a comprehensive intake to better understand your history, current concerns, and goals. I may use evidence-based screening tools to gather additional insight and ensure we have a clear starting point. Together, we will clarify what you hope to gain from therapy and begin outlining meaningful, realistic goals based on your unique situation. You can expect a supportive, respectful environment where you feel heard without judgment. My aim is to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and focused on helping you move forward with clarity and confidence.
