Great to meet you!

I’m Isaac De La Torre, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and Nevada with twelve years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through anxiety, depression, men’s issues, trauma, identity concerns, and major life stressors. I identify as Hispanic, Caucasian, and male, and that lived experience shapes the way I show up with openness, humility, and respect for each client’s story. My background includes a Master of Social Work from the University of New England, and my work is grounded in helping people feel understood while also building real tools for change. I see therapy as a collaborative process where clients can feel safe, encouraged, and empowered to better understand themselves, strengthen their coping, and create meaningful growth in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is active, practical, and tailored to the person in front of me. I offer individual therapy, family therapy, child and adolescent therapy, and recreational therapy groups, which gives clients different ways to engage depending on their needs and comfort level. In sessions, I draw from evidence-based methods including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, strength-based work, relational therapy, trauma-focused CBT, and family-centered approaches. My philosophy is that therapy should help people build practical skills, deepen emotional understanding, and make lasting changes rather than just getting through the week. Whether I’m working with a child learning foundational coping tools or an adult processing more complex life experiences, my goal is to help clients recognize their strengths, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move toward their goals with more clarity and confidence.

What you can expect from me

In a first session with me, we’ll spend time understanding what has been weighing on you, what patterns you have been noticing, and what kind of support would feel most helpful right now. I want to get a clear picture of your goals, your strengths, and the challenges that may be getting in the way so we can begin shaping a plan that feels realistic and useful. You can expect a compassionate, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

In our first sessions, we'll explore questions like: What would healing or progress look like for you? What is bothering you the most? What changes would you hope to see in your life? These conversations help guide our work together and ensure therapy is focused on what matters most to you.
