Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Isabel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a supervisor designation (LCSW-S) practicing in Texas. I hold a Master's degree in Social Work with a focus in Mental Health and Substance Use from The University of Texas at Arlington. I work with teens and adults, and I see clients bilingually in English and Spanish. As a Mexican American and an immigrant myself, I bring lived experience to the cultural and family dynamics many of my clients navigate. My focus areas include depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, grief, and substance use. I also conduct psychological evaluations for immigration purposes — including Hardship, Asylum, T-Visa, U-Visa, and VAWA cases — with services available in English or Spanish and translation for other languages as needed.

My approach to therapy

I take a holistic, integrative approach, drawing on CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, somatic work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) depending on what each client needs. There's no one-size-fits-all framework here — some sessions are skills-focused, others go deeper into nervous system regulation or parts work. I meet clients with warmth, but I'm also honest, and I'll gently challenge you when it's useful.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a conversational, low-pressure environment rather than a clinical checklist. We'll talk through what brought you in and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to have anything figured out ahead of time. By the end, my goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of direction and to feel genuinely heard.
