Great to meet you!

I earned an MSW from Tulane School of Social Work in 1989 and am a clinical social worker. I also practice Psychodrama and am a graduate of the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute in NY. I work primarily with musicians, actors & writers. I have a long history of working in non-profit agencies and schools, providing top notch care to disadvantaged and oppressed adolescents and families.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in working with addicts and creatives. With over 30 years of clinical experience and advanced training in experiential modalities, I have learned to help clients “ go deeper” than simple “ talk therapy”. Of course we will talk. But action methods can heal trauma, anxiety, depression, & make sense of grief much faster. The goal is to help you find, respect and really like, dare I say love, who you are.

What you can expect from me

First of all, we co-create the therapy. Yes, I have skills but the way we put them to use depends on what you need. That is not only empowerment but connection & ultimately, healing.
