Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) committed to providing compassionate, individualized mental health care. I understand that seeking psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to create a welcoming, respectful environment where you feel heard and comfortable discussing your concerns.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and patient education while considering the connection between mental and physical well-being. I believe each person’s experience is unique, so I work collaboratively with you to develop an evidence-based treatment plan that reflects your individual needs and goals.

I am also fluent in Spanish and value providing culturally sensitive care to individuals from diverse backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I begin by taking the time to understand your symptoms, concerns, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, and treatment goals. A thoughtful psychiatric evaluation helps us develop a clearer understanding of what you are experiencing and determine appropriate next steps together.

When medication is part of your treatment plan, I believe in shared decision-making. I will discuss treatment options with you, including the potential benefits and possible side effects of medications, so that you can participate actively in decisions about your care. During follow-up visits, we will evaluate how you are responding to treatment, monitor medication effectiveness and potential adverse effects, and make adjustments when clinically appropriate.

I also incorporate education and supportive interventions into visits because I believe understanding your symptoms and treatment can help you become a more informed and active participant in your mental health care.

What you can expect from me

You can expect our sessions to be respectful, supportive, and focused on your individual needs. My goal is for you to leave each appointment with a clearer understanding of your treatment plan, medications, and next steps.

During our work together, we will monitor your symptoms and treatment response, discuss any concerns or side effects, and adjust the plan when appropriate. I encourage questions and open communication so that treatment feels collaborative rather than one-sided.

Most importantly, I want you to feel heard and involved in your care. We will work together toward meaningful, realistic treatment goals while supporting both your mental health and overall well-being.
