Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with expertise in treating children and adolescents. My approach is comprehensive and patient-centered, focusing on evidence-based care tailored to each individual's unique needs. My approach is rooted in an understanding of developmental, social, and emotional factors that impact children and youth mental health.

I earned my medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my general psychiatry residency at Palmetto Health/University of South Carolina School of Medicine (now Prisma Health). I then pursued specialized training in child and adolescent psychiatry through fellowship at the same institution, where I also served as Chief Resident.

With over a decade of experience in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatric care, I provide thorough evaluations and treatment for a range of conditions, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive compulsive and related disorders, and trauma-related disorders.

Currently, I practice in both private and public settings. I also provide telepsychiatry services for emergency and consultation-liaison settings. My goal is to support young people and their families in navigating mental health challenges with compassion, expertise, and practical solutions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I provide individualized, evidence-based care that takes into account the unique needs of each child, adolescent, and young adult. My approach is collaborative, involving not only the patient but also their family and, when appropriate, their school environment. By considering all aspects of a young person’s life, I aim to develop a treatment plan that fosters coping skills, supports healthy development, and enhances overall quality of life.

I specialize in treating a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and trauma-related conditions.

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to help my patients build resilience, navigate challenges, and reach their full potential through a combination of therapy, medication management, and coordination with other professionals when needed.

I strive to create a supportive, understanding environment where families feel heard, and patients feel empowered in their care.
