Great to meet you!

I’m a warm, grounded therapist who believes in creating a safe and supportive space where they can show up as their full selves. I value authenticity and curiosity in the therapeutic process, and I see therapy as a collaborative journey toward greater self-understanding and growth. As a yoga instructor and former Division I athlete, my background in both mental health and mind-body practices allows me to bring a holistic lens to the work, helping clients connect more deeply with their emotions, relationships, and inner resilience. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working in private practice and college counseling settings. My past experience as a psychiatric medical assistant and special education teacher informs my therapy practice, as I hold a trauma-informed and multicultural perspective in therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices. I help clients explore the roots of their emotional patterns while building practical tools for coping and self-regulation in the present. I believe that insight and change go hand in hand — understanding where our struggles come from allows us to respond with more awareness and compassion. I also emphasize the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for healing; I want clients to feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful shifts in their lives.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a calm, welcoming space to share what’s bringing them in and what they hope to get out of therapy. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to get a sense of your background, current challenges, and goals, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. It’s a time for us to get to know each other and see if we’re a good fit. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and a little more hopeful about the path ahead.
