Great to meet you!

My professional experiences include addiction work, trauma-informed treatment and crisis services, as well as work with children at high risk for out of home placement. I completed my Master's of Education at the College of William & Mary, where I completed and published research on Internet Gaming Disorder. I am certified in using DBT and Mindfulness approaches.

Above all, I utilize a trauma-informed, person-oriented, solution-focused approach to emphasize what works best for you.

My approach to therapy

Do you struggle with patterns of behavior and thinking that make it hard to make positive changes? You might feel helpless to move forward, and trapped by these patterns in thinking and feeling.

More than ever, people feel out of control in the current of a fast pace of life, coping with trauma or anxiety, and working hard but feeling like you never progress. It doesn't have to be this hard to move forward.

We can work together to empathetically understand the challenges you face, develop skills for coping and healing, and create new, helpful patterns that will support your goals for your life.

I offer both body-based and cognitive strategies to support productive change for my clients. These include mindful practices to support coping, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior skills.

What you can expect from me

I will provide a professional and safe environment while we discuss your concerns and identify how I can be helpful for you. Expect to feel heard and have questions answered as we begin this counseling relationship.
