Ismarie Fernandez

I have a master’s degree in social work, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I have 4 years of experience working with individuals issues with substance use, mental health and life stressors. I have worked as a bilingual therapist in various clinical settings treating adult clients from diverse backgrounds. I specialize in providing treatment for addiction, emotional issues, anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, self-esteem problems, and life transitions stress.

I consider that each person has a unique journey to discover and utilize their strengths and qualities to improve their emotional and physical well-being. Therefore, I believe in empathetically validating your feelings within your own experiences, and compassionately providing treatment based on your own individualized needs.

In the first session, I initially work on developing a strong therapeutic relationship through rapport building, and hearing your story to create an individualized treatment plan that addresses your needs. My approach to treatment is using a combination of different therapy models and psychoeducation. This can allow you to acquire insight, learn coping skills and strengthen your confidence to manage life challenges in a healthy manner, and decrease feelings of frustration and uneasiness.
