Great to meet you!
Ita Jervis, M.Ed., LPC – Bilingual Integrative Therapist
My name is Ita Jervis, and I work with adults who are carrying grief that others don't see. Maybe you have lost someone you love. Maybe you are navigating chronic illness, caregiving exhaustion, a miscarriage, the end of a relationship, or the loss of who you used to be. You are exhausted from appearing fine while privately struggling. You need a space where all forms of loss are recognized as legitimate — where someone won't rush you, won't minimize what you are feeling. You are reaching out because you can't keep pretending anymore.
I see you, because I have been there.
I lost two brothers without warning. I lost my father. I have lost people I loved deeply, and I have been through cancer. These losses taught me what it means to sit in grief — and that you don't have to sit there alone.
I hold a Master's in Counselor Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Houston Downtown. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.
I work with adults navigating grief, loss, trauma, life transitions, chronic illness, and caregiver stress. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. My approach combines talk therapy with body-centered practices like sound healing, guided imagery, and breath-work — creating a space where you are fully accepted as you are.
