Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Ivanna Schuls-Diaz, MS, LMHC (She/Her), a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Blooming Psychology. I earned my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University in April 2023. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and supporting them in their journey toward healing, resilience, and personal growth.

I specialize in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustments, substance use concerns, grief, and PTSD. I have experience working with diverse populations and provide culturally sensitive, compassionate care. I believe no one should face life’s struggles alone, and my goal is to support you every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is empathetic, collaborative, and client-centered, with a strong foundation in cognitive-based therapeutic techniques. I work alongside clients to explore thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be impacting their well-being, while helping them build practical coping skills and insight.

I strive to create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being open and authentic. Therapy is a partnership, and together we work toward meaningful change that aligns with your goals and values.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive environment where we focus on understanding your concerns, experiences, and goals for therapy. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from our work together.

There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and comfortable, and to leave the session with a clear understanding of how therapy can help and what our next steps may look like.
