Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who believes therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, understood and where you feel free to be yourself. My focus is allowing clients and families to communicate, in the language they feel most comfortable, so they process their experiences and figure out systems to cope. My professional background includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, as well as with families. I am experienced with behavioral interventions and supporting neurodivergent individuals, helping clients develop emotional regulation, coping skills, communication strategies, and practical tools to deal and assimilate the many challenges of life.

My approach to therapy

For me therapy is a collaborative process. We work together to understand what you are experiencing, where those patterns may come from, and what you want to change. I use an integrated approach, which means I draw from different evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques depending on your individual needs, experiences, strengths, and goals. Rather than using the same approach with every client, I take the time to understand what you are experiencing and determine what tools may be most helpful. This may include working with your thoughts and emotions, developing coping and communication skills, improving relationships, addressing behaviors, building emotional regulation, or processing difficult experiences.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I'll ask you questions about your concerns, your history, your relationships, your strengths, and what you expect to accomplish with therapy. Whether you are experiencing the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, life transitions of simply feeling stuck, my goal is to help you see you do not have to do it alone.
