Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Smith College, and I've spent more than 30 years studying and practicing therapy. Over that time, I've walked alongside people through nearly every kind of hard season, and I bring that depth of experience to every session.

I work with adults and families facing anxiety, depression, panic, OCD, trauma and PTSD, grief, and stress. I have a particular heart for women's issues, family relationships, and questions of identity and culture. I also support people living with chronic health conditions or disabilities, and those facing end-of-life concerns, whether their own or a loved one's. Whatever brings you here, you'll be met with respect, patience, and a genuine belief that things can get better.

My approach to therapy

The mind and body work together, and what we have lived through affects how we live now. My approach helps you understand how your past experiences and relationships shape your thoughts, feelings, and patterns today, so you can begin to change what no longer serves you. I draw on psychodynamic, relational, and narrative therapies, and I also use practical behavioral strategies when you need tools you can start using right away. Therapy with me is a partnership. You're an active participant, and together we'll work toward real, lasting relief.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance to get to know each other. We'll talk about what's bringing you in, what you've been carrying, and what you hope will be different. You can share at whatever pace feels right, and there's no need to have it all figured out. My goal is always for you to leave with hope and a real sense that relief from your struggles is possible.
