Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (NJ and PA Licensed Psychologist, NJ and FL Marital and Family Therapist) with over 35 years of experience in delivering mental health services to individuals and families from diverse age, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. My expertise encompasses the treatment of a broad spectrum of major psychiatric disorders, employing a supportive, empowering, and psychoeducational approach to treatment. I find it particularly rewarding to assist clients in developing coping skills for grief, relationship challenges, and life disturbances associated with adjustment, stress, anxiety, or mood disorders. In marital and family treatment, I specialize in enhanced communication training, relationship building, conflict resolution, and parent effectiveness training.

A significant subset of my current practice is dedicated to providing counseling for professionals that address workplace and professional challenges. This includes skills addressing issues and skill development in areas such as enhancing professional confidence, effective communication, networking, work-life balance, goal setting, and time management. I am committed to helping clients navigate and thrive within today’s organizational and corporate environments.

My approach to therapy

I specialize in evidence-based methodologies, including behavioral and cognitive techniques, mindfulness and mindfulness meditation training, and positive psychology approaches. My background experience includes 15 years of undergraduate and graduate university teaching of psychology and mental health counseling to mental health professionals as a full-time and associate faculty member with a principal focus on mental health counseling, positive psychology, and psychopathology courses.
