Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor focused on helping clients overcome complex life challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. I have four years experience treating individuals from detox to outpatient levels of care seeking substance abuse treatment. My overall goal for you is to help you understand who you are, what you need, reconnect with your true self, and use this knowledge to begin building the life you really want.

My approach to therapy

The groundwork of therapeutic approach pulls significantly from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) principles for mindful awareness, challenging distorted thinking, and identity adaptive coping and helpful actions. I utilize Motivational Interviewing (MI) Techniques to help clients build awareness, desire, and confidence to change the things in their control to change. I often use principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strengths-Based Approaches, Cognitive Processing, and Existential modalities as needed. All of this is to say each client will resonate with different approaches to therapy, so I prefer to pull from various different evidence-based approaches that best suit your needs.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect me to get to know them in a relaxed but professional manner. I am insatiably curious, and my approach is to understand what brings you to therapy in a conversational manner. My objectives for this session is to establish an effective therapeutic relationship with you, collaborate with you on creating realistic goals for therapy, and clarify policies, expectations, and boundaries for telehealth (TH) therapy.
