Great to meet you!

Therapy is not just about symptom relief. It’s about waking up to yourself—especially the parts you’ve had to hide to survive.

My name is Jack Irmas and I'm the founder of Beacon Psychotherapy, a boutique psychotherapy practice based in Beverly Hills. I work with people who are tired of running in circles—smart, thoughtful adults who are doing “everything right” on the outside, but inside, feel stuck, disconnected, ashamed, or afraid to be fully seen. I specialize in working with men, couples, and queer people who are ready to go deeper.

This work isn’t always easy. But it can be one of the most meaningful things you ever do.

My approach to therapy

I believe that good therapy helps you stop hiding from yourself. That means not just talking about what’s happening now—but getting curious about what’s underneath it. Why do you keep getting pulled into the same kinds of relationships? Why do success and emptiness seem to arrive hand in hand? Why do you feel numb when you want to feel alive?

My style is warm, direct, and emotionally attuned. I’ll help you listen for the things you’ve been trained to ignore—the parts of you that feel too needy, too angry, too messy, too much. This is often what’s referred to as shadow work—meeting the disowned or rejected parts of yourself with curiosity instead of fear.

I’m not here to give you tips and tricks. I’m here to help you understand yourself so deeply that the old ways of coping simply stop being necessary.

What you can expect from me

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to have the “right” answers, or even know what you’re feeling. You just have to be willing to start telling the truth—to yourself, and eventually to the people in your life who matter.

Clients often say that our sessions help them feel more emotionally available, less anxious, less ashamed of who they are, and more connected in their relationships. Over time, you’ll begin to see yourself more clearly and treat yourself with more integrity.

You won’t walk away with a worksheet. You’ll walk away with a different relationship to yourself.
