Great to meet you!

Hello! I am Jackie Bean, Psy.D. Doctor of Clinical Psychology. I work with adults and adolescents who want to feel they are on the right track as they work to improve relationships, gain coping skills, and manage hardship. I work mostly with anxiety and trauma reactions, relationships of all kinds, aging and end of life issues, post menopausal issues. grief and loss.

I have been a professional Clinical Psychologist for over 20 years. I have worked in private practice, for state and federal government agencies, and as a medical consultant.

I work best with those who want to create change and growth, who have anxiety, childhood difficulties, depression, coping and relationship difficulties as well as aging and functional limitations.

My approach to therapy

What stands out about my approach is my perspective that clients as hold their own unique set of skills and abilities that we can tap to help you feel better and get what you want. I am open to trying many ideas until we find the ones you feel will work for you. I understand a broad range of human conditions and life stages and can help you see yourself as more capable and confident than you enjoyed prior.

My superpower is autheniticity and compassion for meeting you where you are and working with you to find a new path for growth.

What you can expect from me

The first session is designed to hear from you and learn about what you need and want, to understand what you have already tried to do to manage your difficulties, and to get some idea of how you approach needs. I will discuss how I work to understand prior influences quickly so that we may begin the work of getting you where you want to go and gaining relief as soon as possible. Feel free to ask questions about what to expect.
